RELATIONSHIPS
Stevie Nicks / Christine McVie / Lindsey Buckingham
After several line-ups that could not break out of England, the band finally hit success revolving arount Nicks, McVie and Buckingham. When Nicks and Buckingham, two Americans joining an English band, joined, the band consisted of two couples, Nicks/Buckingham and McVie/McVie (John). Adding to all if this was the fact that the bands leader, who also owned the name, was Mick Fleetwood, who did not contribute much to vocals or writing. As the band finished their first successful North American album and began their next one, both couples broke up, making for an awkward situation, but their greatest creative endever. They released Rumours, with songs focusing on those relationships, the biggest selling album of that era. This would be enough to destroy most groups. However, they struggled through the next few years with solo/group efforts until Lindsey had enouph and left in 1987. Thus began many years of revolving group members with Nicks and McVie gone by 1994. In 1997 members began returning with finally the full classic line-up back together by 2014.
